Diablo 4 [XO, XBSX|S, PC, PS4, PS5, XGP]

Pfft helltides are great for the dive bomber. Ride around until you gather some chasers, use your freeze charge dismount throw off a couple shards at the elites, frost nova if necessary... repeat. Make sure you remount to collect the motes/loot so your freeze charge timer resets.
Moving back yo mouse and keyboard. The current setup is yo meteor, teleport, frost nova and it basically evaporates the mob group. On controller it’s hard to pick the precise spot to meteor and teleport to drag people in.

So there is some learning again, just to get my fingers working as expected. But yea it’s works. I can clear up to level 88-89 mobs like this. But regular pew pew doesn’t do enough damage.

"yo meteor..." sure, it takes some time. Even if you normally play with a kb+mouse, if you get used to play a game with the controller, it takes some time to adapt. I started playing with the Rogue using a controller, and switching to a mouse felt odd at first. Now I can control the Rogue better, 'cos where I failed before is that I used Evade on the mouse -didn't work for me- but now I just use Space for Evade and the rest of the game I play it on the mouse. Works like a charm for me.

As for damage, nothing beats the Necromancer it seems. Op? I think so. He defeats World Bosses in 15 seconds, something that might take me half an hour -if I survive- or more, when using the Sorc or Rogue.

Bone spear necro with 100% crit. If you want to be a really effective Necro, ditching the minions is the way to go.

At this point I'm struggling to maintain interest to even get through the story, it's just so mind numbingly easy which makes it so incredibly boring. And that's with me only doing main story missions now. I'm now at the point where I'm no longer upgrading my gear in an attempt to make it more challenging so it'll at least keep my interest enough to get through the main story.

The game doesn't really start until you've completed the campaign and start doing push content in WT3., as a stepping stone to WT4.

That's the problem. IMO, Blizzard really fucked the pooch by only offering super easy mode (WT1) and easy mode (WT2) and locked away any challenging content until you forced yourself to play through easy mode. I mean, yes, for most people they don't care, and I get it that it makes it super accessible.

But I don't think it would have harmed the game in any way, shape, or form if they had included normal mode (WT3) at the start. People can freely change the difficulty (to any that is available to them) in game. So it's difficult to buy any reasoning that suggests WT3 should be locked at the start due to new players potentially finding it too challenging. They can just reduce the difficulty.

It's just frustrating. I want to finish the game because I've finished all Diablo games in the past, but this is just so boring even though I know it's probably not that much longer until I finally finish this unrewarding slog through easy mode.

BTW - I'm also glad a lot of people are actually enjoying the game. I don't want the IP to die. I'm just not sure if I have it in me to get to the point in the game where I'll actually start finding it even a little bit enjoyable. It's a shame that I basically have to force myself to play the game in order to get to the parts where I might enjoy the game.

I’m not sure why you don’t just burn through the campaign? I’ve seen people complete it by lvl 30 and are trying to push into WT3 at super low levels

that might be a great idea. In fact, core gamers recommend just that, burn through the campaign, leave dungeons and even secondaries aside, jsut to complete them in WT3 -nightmare- or WT4.

I think Silent can complete the campaign in about 5-6 hours if you just fast travel where you need to and go for what really matters to get it done.

at level 71 me and a buddy did a wt4 nm dungeon tier 34 which made the mobs level 88 (50 + 4 + 34) and it was fine, the murder packs with 3+ elites with bad affixes can murderise us but that can happen in normal dungeons too

my buddy respecced to a hybrid bone spear necro build but i am staying ww barb. i have heard hota is good but ehhhhhh

worst nm affixes for me are death pulse (because im on top of the mobs when they die), resource burn (my precious fury!) and lightning storm (annoying backtracking all the time inside the bubble, if not instadeath)

drifting shade is also very annoying because it tends to get in your face in close quarters

4 player death pulse. The worst.
I get killed more by dead enemies than by alive.

Everyone is just charging in and tons of exploding death on the floor

yeah i just scrap sigils with death pulse
The game has a legitimate sight issue though. 2 types of exploding dudes. One that shoots out waves that targets you.
4 types of poison death. And the necro fart. And you can’t see shit. Solo, you are okay, but in a group it’s just madness.

There should be an option to overlay pink to my character every time it got covered by something
in that sense Divinity Original Sin 2 offers a toogle to enable coloured enemies, because the game can become pretty obfuscated once smoke, fire, and other effects are taking place during battle. In fact, in Divinity games, smoke, explosions and anything that reduces visibility is a thing in the game, like in real life, you see less and you can't attack what you can't see, but the outline option is there to at least help you know where everything is.

been rebuilding my fire sorc and converted it into a spark sorc. I had been experimenting with this already and liked what I saw, but I love to use the Crackling Energy damage to the max. I am only missing the life regeneration and mana regeneration from my fire build, other than that the spark sorc is very capable and really fun.

I just rebuilt my Druid into storm wolf as I was starting to hit a wall in nightmare dungeons. My survivability and single target damage is crazy higher now.

I'm still playing a pulverize bear build. I'm level 90 now and I managed to clear tier 50 but I also worry about survivability.
My friend has been level 100 for some time and he tried a few builds and now he went back to the fast attacking werewolf build with nature's fury reducing cooldowns of earth skills to make them almost always available. He thinks it's better than his previous builds such as storm werewolf but maybe it also depends on the play style (he's using a PS5 so using gamepads).

Wow.
Lol you guys move fast. My levelling speed slowed to a crawl once I hit 60. Now 73

im 73, my bud is 78 and we are doing nm tier 41+ now, its easy to get oneshotted for me because i have to be in the middle of all the mobs to whirlwind
other than that its fine

Pfft I don't need to be in the middle of mobs to get one shotted....
The sorcerors natural state is dead. I have 5 stay alive buttons. If they are all on cd I spam evade and pray a cd clears.

To hotfix sorc and necro, they need to change the exploit glyph to be equal across the board.
barb, rogue, druid all get to apply vulnerability with their exploit glyph. Necro and Mage don't.

That's really a game changer in the types of builds you're allowed to do.

But sorc could really use sweeping changes here.
