Look at the full size screens. It's obvious they are in-game. The aliasing is far too prominent for them to be bullshots. I really admire Bioware showing exactly what the game looks like.

And I hope they can get AA for ME 2.

edit: nevermind, just had a quick look at the official site. I want to see what sort of customizations you can make. To me he looks like some shaven canine.

IGN impressions

Described as a "next-gen BioWare game on steroids" by BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka, Mass Effect is all but finished save some polishing and optimization. Though Microsoft remains mum on an official ship date, it seems likely that Mass Effect will arrive before Blue Dragon's August release. The build shown off was not a demo, but the full game in its current progress. And it looks like it's not far from final code.

Bioware gave its biggest hint yet today on the release date of Mass Effect when it told IGN the extraordinary-looking RPG wouldn't show up at this year's E3.

"That event is in July, right?" asked Dr. Ray Muzyka. "Well, Mass Effect won't appear at this year's E3."

A developer from the bioware forums said the textures don't look as good on the armor as before because:

That's all I ask. Sure, if we released the game with textures like the crappy armor on the alien in screenshot 3, I would expect a lot of hate. But we're not going to release textures that look that bad. Just be patient and see what we come up with.
