Are they serious? Comparing PC to the consoles? I've played just the demo on PC, and there's no contest there..Eurogamer said:t will take a more forensic examination post-release to get to the bottom of the 360, PC and PS3's comparative performances..
2K Games has announced BioShock's anticipated arrival on Playstation 3 will be October 21 in North America and October 24 everywhere else.
New and obviously exclusive to the PS3 version is a Survivor difficulty level, Trophy support and Add-On game content in the form of Challenge Rooms.
We got to see one of these Challenge Rooms demonstrated at E3 last month and they're going to be a lot of fun to play around in. In the example shown, you had to rescue little sister from the top of a Ferris wheel by solving puzzles to make the wheel turn.
Anything goes in the Challenges as Rapture enemies aren't too interested in letting you do whatever you want without repercussions.
Expect BioShock on Playstation 3 to carry an SRP of $59.99.
Games are normally released on a Friday in the EU AFAIK. I think it's just tradition.
BioShock PS3 launch website may be the coolest ever
The site is very impressive, 2K is pushing the PS3 version quite a bit, sadly it is still releasing along side Little Big Planet.
Well, it's not really about "competition", per se.. it's more like releasing a movie the same week as Dark Knight.. You'll get lousy numbers because everyone's in the theater next door, not because you're in direct competition.Somehow I don't think those two games are in that much competition with each other. I could be wrong of course ...

Me, I rarely buy more than one game at a time. I've done it only once or twice in like.. ever. It's more about money, really.. why spend all that money at one time if you're only going to play one of them at a time? LittleBigPlanet, Bioshock, FarCry2, and Fable II are all releasing on the same day. Granted, I'm only interested in two of those, but still. I'll pick a "favorite" to start with (LBP), and then pick up the other one a few weeks later.
I think it's foolish to release this game at a 60 dollar price point a mere two week or so before the release of three big Sony published games. This will probably sell as well as Orange Box PS3 numbers-- a couple hundred thousand.
Honestly, they should have released it around the same time as the original. Bioshock is kind of "old hat" by now... the only people who haven't played it already are the ones who own only a PS3, and don't have a computer capable of pushing it. I played the X360 version over a year ago. I've since "upgraded" to the PC version when Steam had it on sale for $15.So they should wait another year so it'll sell more?
