but can you counter a knife counter?

on BF3, if a person knife you and your friend killed the enemy before the animation finish, you survive.

now on BF4, if i knife a person, he counter me, can i counter him? Will my/his friend still be able to disturb the knife animation?

if i cant counter him, knifing become useless. Because people adapt and learn. Those level 100 BF4 players will be able to counter 100% of the time.

if we can counter each other et infinitium, it will be a battle of skill. Who have the best QTE skill.
Or a battle of internet lag connection :/

No. It's been confirmed that you cannot counter-knife when someone counters you. The reason being it would wind up in an endless dance of counter after counter and just get silly.
 
is DICE already releasing info about BF4 have matchmaking or not?
and do they planning to make the server tools better?

on BF3 is a joke, the autobalance only balance based on last join.

They completely forgot to think about the ranks and killstreak.

(8 out of 10 match, one team got 7 level 100, other team got lots of level 1 and a few level 20's)
 

Sweet video. I wonder though, on a technical note, why distant textures in this, BF3 and numerous other titles, have a tendency to flicker? I've noticed a similar issue across multiple different engines.
 
I wish the PC version of BF4 would get rid of the knife animation all together, and go back to full on manually aimed melee attacks a la BF2 and 2142. That actually took some skill to pull of, instead of some cheap, for console BS.
 
There's a difference between "not supported" and "not working."

Yeah, no kidding ... I haven't had to leave anything behind when I moved from Windows 5.1 to Windows 5.2 ... Oh, pardon me, from 7 to 8. ;)
 
Have to say Origin is a piece of crap.
Clicking on the BF3 shortcut doesnt run the game in runs origin
then If I click on bf3 (in origin) a play puttons comes up, clicking on that runs the game. Oh wait no it doesnt. It launches my browser with this page http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/
There are buttons like so

Clicking on one of them launches the game. Oh wait no they dont. they dont do anything. I have to click on "Go Offline" in origin so I cant play multiplayer :(
 
oh its happen when origin out of sync. Fortunately origin works super fine in offline mode.
as for making it in sync again, i dont know. It randomly fixes itself when relogin (on both, BL and O).

I think have seen an explanation about this, due to deffered lighting render method.. someone should have the explanation here. its too early for me for search it.

Note on this video, i see a lot of other bug, betewen the total desync on vertical line, flashing ground color or texture...

Never had such an issue. But recently something went wrong with my bf3, everything except the HUD is just plain white !!!! No graphics visible .:???:

Time for 64bit depth buffer! Come on repi, make it happen! :D

Seriously though, I suspect this problem will only get worse as games get longer and longer view distances. What can be done about it other than doubling z-buffer precision (which I assume will never happen)?

Outerra has interesting solution, but yes 64bit z-buffer would be nice.
