Nice PhilB!

Will post Scared 2 screenshots to complement Macabres(?) screenshots as soon as I find the collectors edition. I was toying with the idea of getting regular version and downloading 'extreme texture pack' but it will take weeks on torrent (texture pack is free).

Kinda satisified now with GTAIV. Been able to up my settings and still be around ~25-45fps and for the largest part at 30-35fps. Also doubled the landscape draw distance from default highest 2x1500 to 2x3000 (metres/feet?). 2x distance of pedestrians and car highest/high LOD. :D

Will add some helicopter tour and deep view screenies later.

The game has such potential hidden behind all those jaggies! But hey there are times I could say the same about Crysis. :p

Hehe, damn thoose jaggies. But I don't see much of them and they are rather hard to spot as lines seem rather jaggy free. But then I play it on a 20" monitor at 1680x1050. The blur obviously help but it comes with a visual penalty vs true AA.

But the engine is rather fleshed out. Such things as HDR particles, steep parallax for skidmarks/footsteps/collisions for some surfaces aswell as 100's of lights etc.

The rest of the screenshots I promised with same settings ofcourse! ^^

That's a pretty hefty visual penalty IMHO! Seriously it's like a Vaseline smear across the entire screen

But yes I agree the game has its moments and the engine is very capable. Just a little let down by their statement that they could've had AA if they'd used DX10, but they were too lazy :(

Well to be fair it looks sharper when playing. It is just that the images are 1680x1050 and under or equal to file size of 200KB. The last picture shows the true quality better (wet ground). But I couldn't expose the dear B3D members for 600-800KB images... or could I? :devilish:

In the end so far I take the bluriness over the overly thin and jaggy look without it. Shadows, trees etc look so thin like the pixels aint enought to display the detail!

And here hoping that ATI and Nvidia releases drivers with "hacks" to enable AA. It worked for Stalker and UT3 IIRC.

Some nice lookin' Warhead screens - taken at a mix of mostly very high, high, and a few medium settings:

Amazing PhilB!

I was testing out today a pack of tree models I found at Crymod. These are very high polygon trees around 10-20k. Thought I would see what the engine went for and painted the whole custom map with them disabling LOD system..... 144million polygons per frame after occlusion culling

Nebby you know you love it :p

Omg dude, what mods are you using for those ultra realistic screenshots? Are those settings even remotely playable?

Are you using any texture packs? Can you post us your cfg? That looks just amazing.
