Cheers man! So how do I apply those settings? Do I have to apply each one through the editor/console or can I just add them into a folder as a batch file?

Yes through editor, it really shouldn't take more than 10min for all singleplayer maps. Instructions in readme file aswell as descriptions and configs in 3 flavors.

Some autoexec customisation bits.

r_HDRLevel=0.8 ,,this controls the HDR intensity. 0.6 is the games default.
r_HDRBrightOffset=12 ,,This also controls HDR intesity and clamp, set to higher value for less HDR intensity especially when dark->bright areas (looking through door opening etc)

r_SSAO_darkening=3 ,,controls the SSAO darkness, might find a sweet spot depending on config.


General customisation tweaks.

r_contrast ,,contrast settings

r_gamma ,,gamma settings (best to leave it at default)

EDIT: I lose 3-4fps when taking a FRAPS screenshot so add 3-4 onto those FRAPS scores.

How do you turn DOF on?

You need these settings to be with following values. Of course the values with 0 can be changed to 1 to enable colorgrading filters aswell. It also depends on the level TODs DOF strength as to how pronounced it will be.

Nice screens. I'm about to reinstall Oblivion again myself; it's just that there's so many mods to choose from that it's going to take me some time to sort through them all to find exactly what I want.
 
Yep nice. I actually installed it some time ago but the game had serious problems with Vista x64 + 4870. major HDD loading whenever I looked around and missing effects etc. Actually it seemed to run worse than on my previous 7900GT. To bad as I had it well tweaked and some crazy compilation of graphic mods and gameplay mods... 1.3GB VRAM usage? :eek:

If oblivion looked so good with variety of texxtures, what happened to Fallout 3? I mean, somehow, its one repeated texture all over the place, with bland lighting and , even with all of these cutoffs, stupid wooden characters :( !

Far Cry ! of course was great for the time and still :D ! i remeber how unreal it looked with the lush island on my screen !

Wel ltextures where quite lowres but have excellent art. Good that NExus modding site has texture packs that greatly enhance lots of F3 textures with really highres ones 1024x1024-4096x4096. IMO the lighting is really good, the HDr has nice range and the TODs well configured regarding color etc. Granted I know the console versions have worse lighting.

Battle images looks blurrier due to me getting hit by around 20 soldiers and tanks with all effects/post-process etc.

Yeah that is not vsync off but rather a shader effect from the game to simulate nanosuit mask failing!

Rigel's texture pack and beyond very high settings.
Speaking of that, I have a weird issue with Rigel's pack -- distant vegetation (tree's leafs) are quickly fading out of view, leaving a fields of bare stacks of branches. Am I doing something wrong, or just I'm not using the right texture pack?!

It is a problem with a texture in the pack (leaves_a.dds). It can be easily solved.


Open up z"zTexturesupdatepart1.pak" with WinRar. Then go to "Objects/natural/Bushes/RoundLeafBush" and delete "Leaves_a.dds" . Save as is (don't change compression strenght or anything else). That's it!
 
Same config as above except I got motionblur set to high quality non object motionblur. Gives a nice boost as it seems to be a bit buggy in DX9 with AA enabled. Also got Rigels texture pack. Vanilla TODs.

Crysis Warhead plays very smooth* and I aint even got CrossFire system.. dayyyummm.

*Snow levels take some hit but the rest... butter even heavy scenes in train level, heck even fights. FFS I got 4xAA AND TSAA enabled and beyond very high settings!

Bring me next Crysis I am ready and boosted, heck without AA I get about 50% perfomance boost! @: )
