Annoying advertising in this forum

Is it me or has this forum a very aggressive advertising banner? (ads by iTotalFind)

It's browsing my pages automatically (on some occasions), playing sounds, etc. etc. Very annoying to look here at Beyond3D forums.

I've runned some Ad-aware programs, to see if i have some Spyware which causes this, but it seems all ok. Btw, i don't get this on other forums.

I don't actually block any adverts on B3D since I don't mind funding it but, then again, I haven't seen any really annoying advertisements.

I actually get a firewall security message which they log... Which could mean this forum ends up getting blocked even though a lot of the stuff I can read or learn about on it is at least in some part relevant to the job I do.

I don't mind "normal" banners on top, but what happens here is that
i often cannot read a topic because my browser switches to another page
with an ad! (not a pop-up but a page switch in the same window). Besides this, I'm going crazy of the advertising sound messages.

Btw, this is with Netscape.

When i use IE and browse on this forum I'm getting like 5 or 6 new screens popping up on some occasions. I don't mind supporting this forum but not this way.

I visit lots of forums, but i only have these issues here at Beyond, so I don't expect it's my system here which may have a (Spyware) issue.

i often cannot read a topic because my browser switches to another page
with an ad! (not a pop-up but a page switch in the same window). Besides this, I'm going crazy of the advertising sound messages.

OUCH! I can't say I've seen anything like that. I only get bog-standard banners.

No way, it has never happened to me from any cmputer i've accessed this site from.
It's probably time to clean up your computer. (EDIT: oh i just saw, u just did that....)

We have explicit instructions with our advertisers for no pop ups/unders and we don't run those ad codes that are available - one or two can occasionally creep in through the standard banners we run but this is infrequent and its never been more than one pop.

I've never met any popup on b3d, just the standard top and bottom banners which i don't even block

I don't know Dave's setup, but lots of ads are available on a CPM basis. No clicks necessary.

Also, I've never heard sound ads here.
