I guess its safe to say 60 dollar games will be the norm then.

I don't think anybody thought that, but I could point you to where a rather large amount thought they'd be more expensive (the usual suspects in fud campaigns). All logic would lead to $60 for PS3 and 360 games as the the standard full price (at least state side).
A lot of SNES/N64 games were expensive. I remember seeing $75 USD price tags on more than a few cartridge games. That was pretty ridiculous back then. That's one thing I think we can be thankful to Sony for, helping lower the prices on games (at least in the states; $50-60+ down to $40-50 and the addition of greatest hits).
