Horizon Zero Dawn has plastic doll skin shading.
Yeah, characters look like plastic dolls. Other games are better in their best moments.
Aloys textures can be very well but I still think of plastic dolls in Horizon Zero Dawn. They don't seem as human to me as in some other games. Of course Horizons details are often very good.
One thing I like about QD's game is that they always match up to their initial tech demos with their retail games.
I know! It was like a fantasy back then but guess we have all underestimated the talent and tech for the years to come.I remember how we all thought “Nah that’s UMPOSSIBLE!!!1!!1” when that demo came out.
Then look at the amazing tech we got these last two years alone.
Insane.
IMO, PS3 Kara demo was surpassed by what they managed to do in Beyond. One thing I like about QD's game is that they always match up to their initial tech demos with their retail games.
Agreed, Beyond was pretty much one of if not the best looking last gen game and I really have to commend QD for their ambition and tech prowess.Models are really great and lifelike, you'll see in few days. They can really covey a lot in conversations with only precise minimal muscle movement. Cage really delivered on his promise that more visual fidelity will achieve showcase of more emotions. Game is full of those little magic moments, and camera is not afraid to linger very close to char faces.
