    Looks like ARM licenses the MBX...

    That's old news. There are more and bigger licencees than them :)

    AFAIK it uses an ARM925 CPU @ ~100 MHz, coupled with a DSP-Co-Processor, mainly for audio processing. Might be one of the current TI OMAPs, which would offer basic 2d hardware acceleration, but no 3d core (unlike future OMAPs with MBX).
