3D Modeling Software: Beginner needing help!

Hi

I know everyone or most of the people in this forum are like experts in 3d modelling and it would be much appreciated if someone could help me out.

I was wanting to know if it was possible to convert or change an image in a .cad, .dxf, .3dm………. .

Basically I was wanting to use a picture of me super imposing it, from a small picture and layering it lager picture, using the same picture.

At the moment I am using rhino 3.

Can someone help me out.

Round here most people just postulate about new 3d graphics accelerators rather than actually modelling.

I use Rhino 2, when I have had issues with it, the official support newsgroup has always come up with useful info/solutions for me.
I think what you are wanting though is to render an image with Rhino using the Alpha channel so that you can then use an image editing program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to place your rendering on a pre-existing background?
