Not gonna happen. Between NHL, FIFA and Call of Duty, I'm going to be all multiplayered out. Especially NHL10.

I'd like to confirm something about alpha textures (alpha to coverage?). At least in the distance they have the stippling. Could just be LOD.

I have a free month of live comming if you want it Irwin when I get my 360 back in a week. I think Microsoft still gives them out as an apology? I already bought the LE version so I'll be on day one same with ODST and MW 2.

Yep. :) Do the subscription cards work globally? Or is it per region? ( I only know that the US/CAN cards work fine)

AFAIK it should work in any region. We will soon find out, another option would be to call Microsoft and tell them you received a card that doesn't work and I'm sure they will give you a region specific code. When I get the card I'll PM but I still haven't received my shipping sticker to send in my 360.

About the graphics engine, does anyone have shots of the cars having-self shadow during ingame race (not photo- or replay-mode shots )? I don't mean the shadow underneath, I mean shadow coming from a wing or mirror.

I was asking if anybody noticed any self-shadowing on the cars in forza3 realtime-mode
with that, I mean: while you are controlling the racing yourself, not in replay or photomode

I find the G.I.-like shading underneath the spoilers more interesting. ;) Self-shadowing (shadowmaps) can look pretty terrible if the resolution and filtering aren't ridiculously high.

edit: There is self-shadowing (really ugly) at around 0:10, the showcase mode. The self-shadowing in cock-pit view can also be seen, which is not so bad though (1:22).

FUN FACT: The entire intro video with the Challenger taking off at the end was captured in-game and not during replay. Basically, we detached the camera from the back of the car in 3rd person view and scripted it to do flybys and choreographed moves. These are essentially in-game graphics with no added AA, etc. We had considered doing a CG rendered intro video but felt confident that the game looked good enough to just do it all in-game in real-time.

Yeah, I guess the intro really is non touched up... from what I've seen from the game (i.e. in real life) it doesn't look too much different. Keeping in mind that good camera angles make stuff look better than it really is.

Not true. At 27 seconds you see motion blur on the surroundings (also at other times). this is an indication that we are seeing replay mode; as during non-replay modes there is no motion blur.
Still realtime though, and still miles ahead of forza2, truly an accomplishment for Turn10 and Microsoft :)
