If a game last's 40+ hours and contains about 1-2h of cgi, I think your argument is without substance.

I think I'm gonna be buying an Xbox360 this Xmas to get my hands on some of the games that won't appear on Revolution. I'm beginning to like the industrial design and white color too. 8)

Of course I'll be getting a Revolution too, but this goes without saying. :p

Square-Enix supported the GC this gen. Just like Capcom and Konami supported the Xbox.

There's a difference between actual support, and "diplomatic" support, we'll have to wait and see if this Squenix support is the latter of the former.

It sounds like those Japanese exclusives Microsoft lined up would be competing for the same gaming dollars which are spent on Square games.

If that were the case, would it make more strategic sense for Square and other Japanese RPG publishers to support 360 or support only competing platforms?

Yeah, Nintendo got a Seiken Densetsu game renamed Final Fantasy. Maybe MS will end up with a Romancing SaGa game renamed Final Fantasy for the X360. I don't see them taking the main DQ/FF franchises anywhere but where they know the money is.

Yamauchi. Kutaragi. Allard.

Their oddity must be part of what makes them successful. :?

To power and recharge the wireless controller, you have a number of options. The controller can be run on either two AA batteries or a rechargeable battery pack. The battery pack fits in the same slot as the batteries, meaning that you can keep a spare handy and swap it in if your first battery pack gets low on juice. Speaking of juice, two AA batteries will net you 40 hours of battery life.

So does this mean that there's a possiblity that the unit won't be "packed" with the "rechargable battery pack."

And yeah, I think the Square Enix deal, if true, would be more like SE support for GamCube rather than Team Ninja (Tecmo) support for Xbox.

Oh man that's pretty sweet. This is similar to the Wavebird using 3rd party snap-on battery packs. Personally I'd rather use my own 2400mAh AAs. Man I can't wait to get a Xbox360! ;) 8)

Made the cover of Time

After seeing that cover, I think I'm going to buy four additional controller and turn em on all the time just so I won't be annoyed by those red lights and get the full green circle of light.

Just kidding. You know I can't afford additional controller.

My sister beat the newest final fantsy in 23 hours . With what about 2 hours of cgi . So to me thats way to much. To me cgi is way to much. It breaks the suspension of disbelief

Well yes, but that was only FF X-2, one game out of 5, other PS1 and PS2 Final Fantasies were longer, and even FF X-2 would have lasted longer if she would have played more sidequests. Well this is a matter of opinion of course so I'm not saying it's wrong not to like those games... Some of the numbers just were little inaccurate... :D .

Btw... I don't understand what does "suspension of disbelief" mean, Brakes up the tension?, ruines the mood??. maybe I'm just tired.

Well are cut scenes using real-time rendering any better?

You're going from active to passive modes and watching some scene to advance the story.

Prerendered cut scenes just look better. As long as they don't make the game into Sewer Shark or Dragon's Lair, it's not a biggie.

God of War had cut scenes triggered when you reached various levels. It was okay. Let you relax a bit between all the button mashing.

well I hope this genaration gets rid of cgi cutscenes thae games should look good enough now to do it in the engine and it will save a lot of disc space
