Anyway, my original post was, in short, that you really need the cable. I didnt buy a RGB one (dont have a HDtv) untill a couple of months ago because I could get one for 10 euro's instead of the default 30 but it really makes a big difference. The picture is a bit sharper but the biggest difference was that the colors are so much more alive.

If they love it, it was well worth it. They've been asking for one for over a year now, there was no way we weren't going to get them one. (Although I'm pretty sure I've got 'em convinced we couldn't get them one, I'm such an evil prick that way.
)Oh yeah, I forgot about the fact that it's still very difficult to find a Wii, so people are buying them from Ebay and the like at inflated prices.
My wife just informed me that we're going to make do with the composite cable for a few days and we'll be ordering the cheap one online next week.
