Win8 should handle SSDs better than previous windowses w.rt. useless defragging, file indexing etc (as well as better trim handling), but there's plenty other legitimate reasons to avoid 8 of course...
It's their first update on their endurance testing of a batch of SSDs. I'm very interested to see when the Samsung 840's (non-EVO, non-Pro, TLC NAND) start to falter. The Sandforce based drives also feature some oddities in that their random read speed actually got faster over time.
