LOL  Actually I played Delta Force yesterday. It's maximum resolution is 640x480 but it really has some great gameplay.

And I don't have a 22" monitor, I have a 15" LCD. It's maximum resolution is 1024x768 but I never really felt the need to play in that resolution. The only reason why I would buy a 1280x1024 screen is so I can see more code when programming. I don't need that extra resolution for games.

BTW, the screenshot you showed was not anti-aliased

Any other res than 1024x768 on a 15" LCD looks gross though (in my experience with LCDs anyway) because of the way they fit the picture :|

    you have an LCD?
and you talk about gaming action?
LOL. Enjoy your nice 25 FPS (reality).

Also, with LCD's, you usually get a better picture at one of the native resolutions (or even multiples thereof) - anything else looks dithered and crappy.

I'd disagree. You'll get 60fps with magic carpet style motion blur

    of course.
    :)
I remember one of my friends was looking into buying an LCD monitor, and i was over at my brothers with my small lan comp.
I hooked it up to my bro's lcd (he is not a gamer, but a programmer, so it is nice for him, easier on his eyes) and fired up serious sam (my friends fav game). He instantly said "hell no, i am sticking iwth a CRT!"

It has a refresh rate of 75 Hz. There is almost no blur, so the difference between 60 Hz is noticable.

Other resolutions than 1024x768 are nicely bilinear filtered. No dithered look at all.
