What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

On the final level of Call of Juarez...I think I am going to play Mirror's Edge next. Enjoying CoJ quite a bit...however it seems the game has not aged quite well. The benchmark though is quite pretty however the ingame is a bit disappointing when compared to the benchmark...I guess maybe the hardware that was available at that moment when the game was released was not up to snuff? That is the only explanation I can come up with.

Titan Quest is my first game to be reinstalled under Win7 and I'm thoroughly hooked on it again. Best action RPG ever released.

You know I have a friend who was telling me about that game. I think I may have to snag a copy. Its that good eh? On another note how are you liking Win 7?

Titan Quest is really nice (albeit a bit limited) if you liked Diablo 2 and Dungeon Siege 2.

I much prefered the NPC assist in the latter so TQ might become a bit tedious after a while, but looting is wonderful in TQ.

TQ's graphics hold up fairly well for the game being over three years old now. But it has two primary hooks: the loot and the ability to combine the 9 different skill masteries. My new toon is a just shy of 30th level (mid-way thru China, Act 3) and I've put all points into Dream and will probably add Rogue (Dreamkiller class with those two masteries combined) once I finish it on normal and start epic difficulty.

Definitely get the expansion pack if you try the game. I think Direct2Drive had a sale recently, both for $5. The exp pack adds formulas, the Dream mastery, scrolls, and storage caravans. A friend and I coop'd for about 3 hours Sat night and he brought in his level 50 brigand real quick and hooked me up with some killer loot (none of which I can use until late 30s or early 40s).

Yeah, that's the best piece about TQ, you could pick it up for 5 ($ or €) and enjoy a very community driven game. the Dev's have vanished.

Harbinger (Dream + Warfare) = devastation. The game will practically play itself if you max out the dual wielding tree. Hmm, maybe that's why I got bored and quit..

I thought about that but my very first build was a conqueror (warfare + defense), so not sure I want to go with warfare. I've never used rogue, and I thought it might make for a really good boss killing combination with dream. Dream alone is just tearing through hordes of mobs (psionic wave?).

Edit: At this point, the one thing I avoid is any mastery that depends too heavily on pets. Can't stand using pets in these type of games, and they're worthless against bosses anyways.

I just installed Far Cry 2. I am grabbing the latest patch right now and was wondering if there were any mods and visual tweaks for this game...I am looking at you Nebula...:p

I went out and bought Brutal Legend purely for the sake it promotes heavy metal. This was the first time I bought something without thoroughly researching it, and so far I'm pleased with it. Metalheads will be happy. The cameos from Remmy, Ozzy and Rob Halford are a nice touch. What I appreciate the most is the art direction. Everything from the characters to the world itself is beautifully rendered and extremely creative. BL has a sweet plot, too, with an all to real message about the state of modern metal being consumed by the nu-metal formation. One thing that's it's lacking is in depth combat. Combat is really basic, almost Fable-esque. But the addition of playing solos on your guitar sort of spices things up. Especially when it makes faces melt or strikes your enemies with lightening. The game is pretty humorous, too. Jack Black does a pretty bang up job with the voice acting and the jokes aren't corny, EA was definitely aiming for an adult audience, becausxe the game is rife with foul language. In summation, I'm pleasantly surprised with BL.

RE5.
The controls and movement are driving me insane. Aiming with the mouse is shit.. Also the mouse movement speed is realllly slow. Almost like Dead Space, but in Dead Space it was a bit understandable, givin the nature of the game.
You can't move and shoot either, unlike the cutscenes- what a cock tease!

I've actually spent a few days running Master of Orion 3 in the background running a few turns here and there.. One of the few things I could still run with a broken 2GB memory module in my system.

I think you should just give in and get a 360 pad, most PC games these days are designed primarily around that.

Fallout3/Oblivion were also designed with the 360 pad in mind, but I wouldn't want to play it with that for <insert large amount of local currency here>.
Sports games are okay, but even Console platformers (like Trine) play way better with the added precision of KBD/MS over analog sticks.

Only racers with 360 pad. Tried several of my FPS games with 360 pad and no way, just no way. Feels like how the 60's movie robots moved. Keyboard and mouse is T1000. However in Crysis it was nice for panning views while drooling.

Finally pulled the trigger on a 360. Dell is selling the Pro at $200 with free shipping, so I couldn't resist. Amazon is also running a special where you get a $40 credit toward a future game purchase if you buy $80 worth of select games from them. So I picked up Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, complete Lego Star Wars (figured my daughter would enjoy this), and Fight Night Round 3.
