I miss some features from previous games, though, like climbing or owning a house (without using mods or other tricks, etc.).

Your can own many houses in both Oblivion and Skyrim. Base games, no DLC or mods.

Thanks for the info. It will take a long time before I get there, but I will. I'm enjoying my experience with the TES series. I really liked the first game. The second game was good, too, but it had way too many bugs.

There are plenty of bugs and glitches in the more recent outings! At least on PC you can mod much stability in!

Wha?! Well, we all know Skyrim had a lot of issues, specially on consoles (specially on the PS3), but I didn't imagine Oblivion had many bugs, too.

Well, bugs as in unintended consequences. Personally I think this parts part and parcel of an open world RPG with so many variable actions, but there are plenty of innocuous things you can that will glitch major quest lines. I highly recommend the 'unofficial' patch mods which fix the vast majority of these - even if you go for Skyrim Special Edition, the unofficial mod is highly recommended!

The good thing about playing the elder scrolls games on the pc is you have access to console
commands so you overcome any game breaking problems like an important npc being accidently killed
by wildlife ect.

No monthly fee? Do you live in a prison or something? Not to mention that it is full of micro-transactions. I swear, hardly a day goes by without some NPC asking me for real money

Also, that incredible AI part seems kind of wrong (unless it's been nerfed in my region)

I tried playing it, but the penalties for senseless murder were too steep IMO. Way worse than GTA V.

I fired up steam and noticed that since I own Darksiders i've been given Darksiders Warmastered edition for free
So I uninstalled darksiders and had started downloaded the warmastered edition
thinking I would replay it but looking on youtube It doesnt seem much different from the original.

I've been playing ME:A and it's alright, but it just seems too nice? All the interactions seem overly pleasant, like there's no edge or grit.

Mebbe I'm just not far enough in, or mebbe it's playing it on a "lower spec" rig. I'm enjoying it, but it's not quite Mass Effect-ish enough for me.

Just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider after picking up cheap after Easter. Very good, not quite as engaging as the previous reboot, but was glad to see the QuickTime events had largely been left with the last game.

Just started Divinity - Original Sin. Classical isometric RPG with turn based combat, exactly what I was looking for so I don't miss any action getting another beer or taking a smoke break! The remastered version is on sale this week on Steam, I think it's $20.

Just thought I'd give it a go before making dinner, an hour and a half later I looked at the clock!

Full 1440p support and the water effects aren't bad!

After finishing The Last Guardian on the PS4 last week, I decided I wanted to play something on the PC so I bought Civilization VI in the Spring Sales.


This game is terrible for my health.
I need to sleep... I haven't slept a healthy amount of hours any night since I bought the game Saturday...
But I just can't help thinking that when I get home, after I put my child to sleep and have dinner with my wife, I need to teach Julius Caesar who's the boss here.

I'm 2 technological eras ahead of you, I have an empire of 15 cities, I just obliterated Saladin with his pesky arabs, and you have the nerve to DEMAND silk and sugar from me??
I'm gonna make you my bitch, Julius! Just you wait until after dinner and you'll see who gets to make demands!

Currently playing Skyrim SE, Prey and Mass Effect:Andromeda. Normally I do not play strategy games but for some reason I'm drawn to the attention to detail in this May 23 release.
