What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

Guess I'll just skip Vietnam then. I am not really digging the jungle look anyway ! Most of the times that I have bought DLC, I have ended up with extremely few people playing the new maps, if at all. Most of the time the money feels wasted as 90% people stay with the original maps.

I guess its Vanilla BF:BC2 then ! So thats settled then, .....No Steam you can't tempt me with that killer price no more ;) !

Just before Withcher 2 hits I wanted to deal with Mass Effect 2.
Initially I didn't like changes they made to interface and customization of weapons/powers, but after 40+ hours in game I can forgive it. The story is great, graphics a lot better than ME1 and I like it very much.

Shame it's less RPG than ME1 but on the other hand it still has a lot of story in it and you are making some of the choices affecting gameplay at a later stages. The story telling is so cinematic that it pinned my wife for 3 hours next to me while I was progressing with two missions. She never ever before watched how I play any game for more than 3 sec.! My wife is normally anti-computer/gaming/racing type of person ;).

But time is ticking and I need to finish ME2 before Witcher comes out!

Has anyone played the free to play "League of Legends" ?
Someone told me it has the best free to play model and I thought about trying it out to see what it is ! I am downloading it right now.

Does it run on Mac too?

Haven't played it myself, but had a friend that was really into it for a while. Basically a competitive multiplayer game where you control one of a great number of possible heroes in the same sort of map where the objective is to get to the other side and destroy their turrets while preventing them from doing the same to you. Each map has three possible pathways.

Don't tell!!! I'm not there yet :D

Oh man the ending is crazy. It turns out Udina was right all along, the humanity is accused of colluding with the Geth, Tali's dad issues a fatwa decrying Cerberus, and you have to team up with a hacked Reaper to stop the genocide!!

...I wish... :/

What do you mean it's not on Steam? It shows up for me (http://store.steampowered.com/app/22350/). I was going to get Brink but apparently it still has the 30fps server lock like ETQW. Can anyone confirm this? To be clear, I'm not talking about single player or the fact your fps counter shows > 30fps. I'm talking about any frames above 30 being duplicates, essentially. The end result is that even at "60fps" the game doesn't feel smooth (or as smooth as any other game at 60fps).

Besides, I'm still chewing through Batman. The 720p console cinematics and the PhysX shens are a disappointment but the game is otherwise quite good. Hopefully they'll tighten the combat a bit more in the sequel and maybe downplay detective mode as I keep forcing myself to turn it off to enjoy the graphics.

The game seemed to be running a bit funny to me (Brink)......though I was only playing single player, and I tossed the running issue to the overhead involving OpenGL (very surprised they went with it, even if the game is using a super modified iDTech4 engine). Checking my task manager showed my Phenom II x4 cores around 50% each........

As for initial gameplay impressions, the game is pretty uh....average....but there is alot of potential if it gets proper patching. If it wasn't the artistic design, I would consider the game quite ugly too, but I find it's Mirror's Edge type use of color (even the overused hues of blue), quite visually amusing despite the very low texture resolution.

so this is the second day that i have wanted to buy brink via steam and its still not avalable in the uk, has anybody here used direct2drive before and does anyone know if the d2d version uses steam as it wont auth in the uk (a link to the issue):

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-05-13-brink-disappears-from-uk-steam-store

also does the game work with a game pad, as after playing shift 2 and crysis 2 on my tv i want to play more games this way?
Maybe you could try a proxy server to get the US version?

This site has worked well for me in the past (admittedly, haven't tried it on Steam):

PLayed it last night. After playing the tutorial missions, went for a co-op against AI. The matches last for too long :( ! It was over 35 mins, and the match was nowhere near the end. Finally, I left as I had to go for dinner, but later got an email from the game telling me I have got a penalty for leaving a match.

The game itself seems something good and different. But such long match durations might mean lesser play from me .....and well, leading to uninstall maybe. Though, the game itself is very new to me, gameplay wise.

Batman is a polished turd if you ask me.

Just started Assassins Creed 2. So far I'm loving it, the gameplay is more varied than the first while the story and character development do FAR more to engross you in the game world. Must have played for 3-4 hours on Sat which is a LOT for me on one sitting. And I've been itching for another go since.

Hydrophobia Prophecy. Bought it on Steam for a tenner yesterday. So far it's quite entertaining. It's also surprisingly demanding in terms of hardware hunger. Granted, my PC isn't quite up to date anymore (it will be tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully), but it still runs circles around the console hardware this game was originally made for.

The game had lot of criticism when it came out on the consoles, so the devs went back and redesigned a lot of stuff for the PC release. That probably explains the higher requirements, but you get a better game for it.

The Witcher I. It's cool, but I would like it a lot more if most of the game didn't consist of killing as much as possible. It's just the kind of game where you expect a diplomatic character to be able to be grand.
