I'm still not convinced. although it doesn't look quite as bad (probably because the character is hard to see) there's nothing in that screenshot that looks next-gen to me. also, the stone still looks like shiny aluminum foil

I agree with this guy.But I ll add that it looks terrible too.

Things that are not shiny shouldn't be shiny.

I think for the greater good we should have a big stone tablet with this phrase carved in some Old English font and mantled on the walls of every game studio in the Western Hemisphere. Maybe the Eastern one as well if we can get a deal on shipping.

true, but why? is that hdr lighting artifact or some weird translucent texture mapping effect; i noticed that on some pics
