Gameshout Excerpt:

Sony PS3 developers Konami, Namco Bandai, and Capcom have are not committing to the PS3 official Spring launch; however Sony says there are enough games ready for the launch.

Apparently, PS3 developers Konami, Namco Bandai, and Capcom are not committing to any PS3 Spring launch. Also, Square Enix, a major player in the video game market, has no plans to launch titles for PS3 this spring.

However, Sony tells GameSHOUT that they are launching with or without 3rd party game developers. They told us this morning that the Spring launch is unchanged. However, they would not comment on what markets would be available.

It' funny how Sony is insitant on a spring launch yet everyone else speculates otherwise.

I sure hope those companies don't release anything soon. they need to focus on their marque titles.

Gameshout, is it any better than Sp0ng? :???:

I'm unsure of its validity or credibility as a news source. But from what little I do know, I don't think they are as bad as the likes of Sponge or the Inquirer....but it seems plausible that 1st party titles would be way ahead of 3rd party devs' titles, knowing 1st party devs get the goods (hardware/tools) vip.

they're unreliable, take a look at previous "exclusives news" from them.

Sony PlayStation 3 without online service

Posted Nov 13, 2005, 4:26 PM ET

Sony has announced that they will not offer an online service like Microsoft Xbox Live for the Sony PlayStation 3.
Sony's answer to Microsoft, the Playstation 3, will be released on March 10th, 2006.

Nintendo's Next-Generation console, the Nintendo Revolution, will be released on May 9th, 2006.

Both of these releases are to be worldwide.

On the other hand, they are the best informed when it comes to their own release plans, no ?
