I'd definitely be up for a remaster of KZ2 (and a complete remake of KZ1 - just so I can learn to hate Rico all over again and experience using Anti-aircraft guns to annihilate Helgast to a background of lush parkland and falling cherry blossom).
Yeah, Helghast Yeah!!
Although Guerrilla Games have a new IP game which looks good, I would prefer they handled a complete remake of Killzone 1, Liberation, Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 using PS4 specific latest dev tools with a 1080p 60fps first person shooter target including co-op mode for all and in game engine real time cut scenes like Killzone 2 did.
I mean Resident Evil got that heavy remake for 1, and 0 way back and recently Ryu Go Gotoku aka Yakuza 1 is getting a major overhaul remake with added stuff not found in the original PS2 game!!
Oh, according to IGN's review this collection doesn't have any behind the scenes stuff that was available for all games on Ps3. I think that alone saved them some serious space. I wish they would just have it as an optional download for people who want to watch this stuff, i enjoyed them on Ps3.
Digital Foundry pointed out that for Uncharted Collection the real time in engine cut-scenes would have been challenging...perhaps the videos of the cut scenes jusy filled up that Blu Ray disc.
Still it would have been nice to have such features as a bonus disc and not rely on youtube channels with intrusive ads.
I cancelled my pre-order as was very disappointed with the demo.
I'm still playing MGS5 and felt like it wasn't worth stopping playing this for something that's aged so badly.
Comparing MGS5 to a console remaster, specially one as well done as Uncharted Collection is downright silly.
It's like saying people would refuse to play MGS-PS2 because they can't go back to the graphics after Uncharted 3.
Anyway about the skills, cover, stealth action in games and A.I. simulation as well as Hive-mind A.I.
There's always a few games that tackle this issue like an old PS2 Zeonic Front (Mobile Suit Gundam franchise) where charging in guns blazing will get you killed.
A lot of this has to do with general audience's perception of game difficulty as well as reviewers not being well informed or informative.
Hive mind is easy to implement as most games work as a once you know how to shoot, then just kill kill kill and win.
Skills based shooters will always demand some type of accuracy and patience from the gamer which isn't compatible with someone seeking to win really fast or play...like another game.
Gears 1 suffered from cheap bullet sponge enemies where skills were irrelevant, I know because I approached that game by skill and found it heavily scripted...boss can only be killed by certain weapons or hitting an object or spot which greatly cheapens the explosive nature of grenades, bazookas and emptying entire clips of rifle bullets to the head.
However if a game demands skills and doesn't have a proper training tutorial for gameplay then the gamer will be intimidated and frustrated...specially if their attention span is very short.
