U.S.: Won't back any Palestinian government run by Arafat

Yes. True, the killing will continue until their will is broken. An overwhelming force that attacks and kills many along with breaking their will is one effective method. And I disagree with you, history has proven this many times to be true.

you do understand that the jewish immigrants in the latter 1940's and beyond are one of the reasons for a smaller christian population in the occupied lands right ? and that is was israeli settlement creation that was the REASON for large numbers of CHRISTIAN palestinians losing their lands right ? and that not all palestinians are muslim as well ?

I am assuming you know this since I see absolutely no distinction between extremists/militants and regular palestinians...

by your logic every single irish person is a terrorist as well... due to their ties with the IRA and the IRA's continued activities... ?

history has proven nought but precedence...

you can never have a superpower unchecked by another since this leads to its eventual demise and collapse... name your empire in the past and it has fallen... and it has also been responsible for inhumane treatment of various peoples/nations which have been under its influence...

dialogue helps but dialogue requires the parties to discuss... Sharon needs to do more... Arafat needs to do more... Bush and his cronies certainly need to do more than the emasculated/half assed attempts they have made thus far...

their preening around like prize cocks when abbas was made PM was utterly disgusting and it is quite pleasing to see Bush squirm now as the whole road map has gone to hell... even as I feel pity for the mid-east itself...

Every palestinian.... no. Most every Islamian (is that a word?) YES! They teach their kids in school to hate us. It is in their freaking text books.

And the IRA are not trying to terrorist attack half the world.

And your happy the whole road map has gone to hell? wow, I thought I was twisted.

I am happy Bush realises that the mid-east peace process is not as easy as he would like us to believe... if it was we would have had peace many years ago and people like Yitzhak Rabin would not have died... it pains me that bush preens around like he has solved all the problems by endorsing abbas and slamming arafat only to have to face reality and the fact that there is no roadmap w/o the inclusion of Arafat...

concerning palestine... I am sure when you look back over history... incl UN resolutions and the like... you will see a very long list that estabslishes a precedent... whole world votes one way... US and israel vote the other way and US occasionally will employ veto power if it is a security council matter...

this will undoubtedly cause mistrust... and I am sure there are schools that do teach specific hatred (to the point of carrying out militant activities) just as there are schools in the states that do the same concerning immigrants and what not... it happens all over the world...

we all could have done things differently... but come on... billions of taxpayers dollars are going into Israel to prop up that nation even while they continually refuse to do things to help this peace process along... Hamas and other militant organisations need to step up to the plate as well... but we do not give them nearly as much money...
