The Xbox 360 ANA / HANA LSI

I have been trying find the developer, manufacture and the function of the legacy ANA and the present HANA LSIs found inside the Xbox 360.

So far, I have yet to discover the developer. It is likely to be developed by ATI and MS, but can't find any solid evidence to support it.

I also can't seem to find the manufacture and the technology used to print the LSI.

However, I did find information that suggest the ANA / HANA acronyms indicate the function of the LSI. On all MS owned DIEs and LSIs, the function/name is printed on the exact same spot (e.g. XCPU/XCPU-ES, XSB, PSB (new SB), GPU, ANA and HANA ES).

After reading an article from anandtech, it made sense that that the ANA / HANA are neither scaler nor video encoders, but simply house the audio, network and HDMI controller.

ANA = Audio Network Adapter (Analogue/Digital Audio and Network Adapter)

HANA = H
DMI Audio Network Adapter (HDMI controller, analogue/digital audio and Network Adapter)

Please bare in mind that the information above is not 100% accurate, but it is the closest I can get.

If you have any information regarding the above, please let me know.

I apologize for not including the following in the main thread

The expansion of the acronym was done by me and not anandtech. It was based on the information from anandtech and along with my interpretation based on the available information.

If it's wrong, then I apologize. But hopefully someone can provide the correct information.
