Force Dynamics have just released a brand new video of someone playing Richard Burns Rally in their new 301 Motion Cockpit simulator. The speed and range of movement on this thing must be seen to be believed! It's makes that Subaru GT4 motion cockpit look like GARBAGE in comparison.

It would be a lot more immersive if the whole apparatus was isolated from the real world outside. I'm guessing that this was just to demonstrate their technology hence everything being exposed.

Maybe I am driving a wrong kind of car, but I never the front suspension to suddenly rise or drop by 20%.

Imagine if SEGA did something like this for the arcades.

Then we could all experience it for $1 instead of $30k

If it goes up a hill or down a hill the angle will go extreme and they're playing Richard Burns Rally with it and if you ever played that game, those movements are nothing unusual.

Yep that would be pretty sweet, however, SEGA would have to make SEGA RALLY XX a better game (real physics) than its previous incarnations.

SEGA's R360 was pretty damn sweet especially when doing barrel rows. 8)

It's not about the movement but simulating g-forces. If you rotate the chair 45 degrees it makes you body feel something about 0.7G force acceleration or deacceleration depending which way you rotate it.
