If any third party companies, at least in the US, know when, it would be EA.

In the past they are the first to receive devkits or prototypes in the US. EA usually has been developing their internal engine(s) for six months to a year before smaller dev houses.

OF course EA would be one of the first to know everything there is to know about ANYTHING, they're too valuable (economically speaking) to leave behind...

still, i think "next gen consoles will be out in 2005/6" was pretty obvious.......
