Absolutely not.
But next next gen will be the last traditional generation.
When we will achieve proper real time "ray tracing" I don't think there will be many reasons to upgrade frequently unless some paradigm shift or revolution happens.
The only danger is cloud and cloud has nothing to do with tech but everything to do with a business model that is much better for cloud companies and much worse for gamers.
