Which should show that all of those that theorized that R6 was UE2 simply due to that may have been wrong. Is Gears branded with UE3 anywhere?
R6 doesn't simply not say that it's UE3, R6 actually does say it's UE2 in the manual.

Also their "massive desctruction" engine is really MASSIVE. Definitely the next benchmark for fps/tps physics. It makes the gunfights alot more intensive and believable than those of MP..
Another thing with the pillars is that when you are covered behind one of them, the enemies ussually destroy first the upper part. So if you crouch you will win a few more seconds of cover.Yeah, pretty damn cool when you stand behind a pillar, and the guy with the shotty starts destroying it, didn't know there was destroyable environment in this game, quickly found out.
Are you sure about that? It's just that it behaves exactly like an UE3 based thing should:mixed shadows(stencils+shadow maps), the shadow rendering is deferred and thus AA is screwed, the look on some things is very UE3ish...
Yep, I'm sure. I have the game, I've checked the page personally. According to Ubisoft, it's UE2.
I think it was kinda crappy. Looked like a hi res ps2 game. Blurry textures, everything looked so flat. ...
I got and sdtv (i think..those regular non hd kinds of TVs). Well, sure it looked a little better then that, but stil. Maybe it was the lighting. Like in the first cutscene, everthing looked so flat. Like if there were no other lights than ambient turned up. Looked a little less flat in other places though...
Like everything, there are people that like a game and people that don't. Don't feel the need to like it if it's not your kind of game.Ok, I´ll se if it makes a difference. I hate that fight at the marketplace were the enemies just pour in from every direction.
