And I'll also offer a Saints Row IV US key to the first guy making a post about how cool I am.
(short story: bought the key through Amazon US, can't use it in europe, already bought the game elsewhere anyway, forgot I even had it)
Cool story, bro.

That's as far as I'm willing to go. :D

Thanks for the heads up on the free Xcom! Pity I missed it.

Erm.. so no one wants a perfectly legitimate copy of borderlands 2 offered by me?

Oooh wait, Borderlands two??? I thought you only had SR4! I will love you long time for some Borderlands :D I just bought the first one a few days ago, and I do not yet own the second. Wanted to see what all the fuss was about, and so far I'm quite pleased with it.

Steam or GoG or?

I'm so sorry! I got the name wrong!
I only have that SR4 code and I already sent the key to Pete.

Thanks, Totts, that's mighty nice of you. I'll hold off on adding it for a week just in case someone worthier comes along and you change your mind. :)

They're not really on sale, but GoG now has some Lucasfilm games! KOTOR, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Sam & Max Hit the Road, Secret of Monkey Island SE, and Indy & The Fate of Atlantis.

You might as well use it now. I'm not a man of un-giving stuff :p

Did they alter the executables of those games to be playable in Windows 7/8 or do we have to take the chance that they won't run in modern computers?

If I recall, some of the really old games were wrapped in DosBox (or similar), I believe they either had a licensing deal or else it was allowed under the GPL so long as they met a few obvious criteria.

I'm at work, so the webfilters here deny me the ability to back up my claims.. I wager if you type "good old games dosbox" into Google, you'd get some results.

Saints Row IV is the top tier of the most recent Humble Bundle, if anyone's upset about missing out on ToTTenTranz's generosity.

As Albuquerque said, GoG uses DOSBox/Boxer/similar to make their games run on newer OSes. Each game page should say what OS they're compatible with. The only issue is that (some?) old games tend to max out a CPU core, which isn't great for laptops without further tweaking. Alpha Centauri pegs a CPU core at 100%, which means my Macbook quickly hits 90°C with Apple's fan profiles unless I use a process throttler.

Dang, I've completely lost touch with the Humble Bundles as of late. I'm posting in here from work so that I remember to come back and check this bundle when I get home :)

Yeah, Humble's been a bit frenzied recently. Up until last week they were juggling about five bundles at a time: regular, mobile, weekly, flash, books.

For those new to HumbleBundle, the BTA (beat the average) price tends to be lowest the first few hours as Humble regulars/hoarders/cheapskates "lock in" the BTA price by buying in for $1 (the minimum to get Steam keys). (You have 30 days from a bundle's close to unlock higher tiers with a second payment.) FYI, submitting your email address for the occasional free game in a bundle actually locks in the BTA price at that time.

GOG is giving away Mount & Blade for the next 40 hours or so.

In addition they're giving away The Witcher 2 if you check back every day during the next week. 17 hours to go for the first one.

There's also a fall sale with some good deals going on over the same period.

Is it my impression or has Humble Bundle attained a new all-time low?
Their newest Sega bundle seems to consist of DLCs..
Sonic Racing Transformed is a great party game, though.

I guess that shows how much of a flop Titanfall is?

Missed out on Alien Isolation at Humble Bundle today for $25. Might just have to pick it up off the Steam sale for a bit more though.
