Sony VR Headset/Project Morpheus/PlayStation VR

IGN has a list but I think they're making shit up.

hmm the robin footage looks like PC version played with Oculus Wiimote (dunno what is the name).

or at least it was developed for oculus 1st with taking advantage of the thumb gesture.

What’s this Tekken VR trailer all about then? I can’t say that I’ve seen it yet, but I’m wondering how it could possibly work. I love(d) Tekken I just can’t comprehend how it’ll work in VR unless you play it normally and just view the game through the headset? I’d much rather games weren’t thrown onto the device without any thought as it’ll ruin the experience.

To be fair on Sony, it looks like they’re going to potentially have a huge line-up for the device, it’s almost like they’re treating it like an entirely new platform release. Which I guess it is in a way. It’s comforting that we’ve got full game releases coming for it and not just mini games and indies.

I fully expect that Sony will use the Playstation Experience as a means to start a huge marketing push of the device; we’ll get a price, a date, release games, game updates, and announcements of those hinted at games (maybe No Man’s Sky and Dreams). I suspect the push will be massive because they’ve invested so much into it, not only the hardware but the games themselves.

Quite how much impact the system will make obviously remains to be seen. I could imagine something like No Man’s Sky being huge with non-traditional gamers providing it has simplicity of play (looks like it has). All of those old sci-fi fans could be all over it.

on the ps vr montage, the robin game got huge graphic downgrade (in texture, shading, vegetation, everything). probably its running on PS4.

Robinson The Journey is a PS4 exclusive. That doesn't mean the footage isn't rendered on PC, or even that it's real time at all. But it's not coming to the PC, so it suggests PS4 footage if it's real time.

It was announced as "On PS4 first".

I'm afraid that just refers to it being the fist time the game has been shown. It's very much a PS4 exclusive according to Crytek. They have partnered with SCE to publish it. No doubt there will be a rather bitter backlash from the PC community. Is suspect the days of Crytek being put on a pedestal by PC gamers came to an end today.

I'm not surprised, this looks like an awesome VR experience. To "walk with dinosaurs" is one of the first things that would come to most peoples minds for a VR experience I think and for Sony to bag that as an exclusive is a big win. Honestly, as a PC gamer myself, it wouldn't take many wins like that for me to jib off Oculus and grab a PS4. FB/Oculus need to be taking a very hard look at their strategy in light of this because it is not a good result for them at all.

I actually liked the Rigs reveal, Mecha sports looks like it'd be alot of fun in VR. Also, really wish they'd consider a Gravity Rush VR and a Wild VR. To me, Gravity Rush VR would be the killer VR game and the Wild gameplay as it is seems like a great match for VR especially with the spirit possessing of animals.

Well they've been through some very rocky financial times so money is probably dictacting a lot of their decision making at the moment.

Have any SCE published games come to the PC this generation?

I don't think so, but their deal might have an option for someone else to publish it later on PC. Might :)

edit: And I wouldn't just ignore the "first on PS4" text before the video posted earlier. Those typically mean exactly that it'll be a timed exclusive.
