Sony Vita Games Thread

Good ones there. I think the Stealth Inc game is free on Plus right now. Get that too. Also, Mutant Blobs game is fantastic ! Maybe you can get NFS later, if u haven't played on PC/console already.

Stealth Inc game? Is this the name of the game or of the dev??

I have NFS on PS3 as it was free with plus...but I could not beat your times once :)

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is really enjoyable once you play in easy.
Anything higher than that is just the most frustrating experience ever.

Bought Ragnarok Odyssey for 13€ in the psn store. Reportedly the best RPG after Persona 4 (which is too expensive!). Felt like playing a good old JRPG.

Having played Jet Set Radio I think Sony should cut a deal with Sega to get Shenmue on the Vita. It would be awesome going back to Kowloon on the small screen, and Sega wouldn't have to upgrade the graphics either....

before they do they, we need a Jet Set Radio Future on vita first at native res, 60 fps + AA.

RO is not a JRPG, it's a fast paced action game; It's like a juiced up monster hunter, minus the exploration and quirks.
It's pretty mediocre.

The only JRPG on my horizon is the Ys game coming out in november.

I actually enjoy the Atelier games quite a bit (for similar reasons I enjoyed the first two Dead Rising games: you are on a merciless timer), but since these games pretty much reside in a niche within a niche within a niche, their appeal is incredibly limited.

Guacamelee! is an absolutely fantastic game as well. I think it's significantly better than Mutant Blobs by the same developer. Best and most charming riff on the Metroid formula since Castlevania Order of Ecclesia on the DS.

But Persona is so good!! My biggest problem with it is that it isn't a drop in and play game and because of that I found myself getting too drawn into it. I've missed more than one stop on the bus playing it...

Yeah, gotta try P4 or P3P on vita. P4 is a lot easier but still fulfilling and fun. P3P has more grinding because the bosses and side bosses are tougher.

I had no idea ! Wow 1 wish they would make one for the ps3 too. I mean all their games come out for PC too, but never for the ps3. I loved Ys Seven on my Vita, though it was psp game. it was amazing.

The 3D graphics could look even better on the Vita, wonder why they settled for less. I mean Raganrok Odessey looks pretty awesome on the VIta. The Anime cutscenes area pleasant surprise, they look cool. Also that Forest of Dawn looks really good art wise. wish they had made the 3D world a bit more detailed, though. The background forest looks great, also the areas look big and expansive , Will be getting it the day I get a Vita again ! Damn, why I sold it  . Still can't get that Ys gamelay anywhere else, so .......I wonder why Sony doesn't put these right into our faces. I mean I am a fan and I didn't even know this existed !

Hm...while I kind of like the gameplay of Uncharted (although it seems a bit limited in comparison to the PS3 games, especially the good AIs are missing a bit)...it has kind of a rough look to it. Quite lots of rough edges. Do we have any idea which resolution this game is rendering? Overall, it is fun...but makes Killzone in comparison even better looking imo...AI in KZ:M is quite good and comparable to the PS3 versions, graphics are a big leap above imo.

Yes, Uncharted was a launch game, and it upscales from something like 7xx by 4xx, forgot what it was exactly. Still looks pretty good though I think, with very high geometry at times, and I really enjoyed the game - the thing I missed most versus the console versions was the variation in environments, but that also gave it a sense of coherency. But yes, Killzone Merc is definitely a post-launch game title in comparison.

I do think that the next time Bend would probably manage it without upscaling. They learnt a lot, and it's not easy developing something for launch of any device.
