Sony to explain everything about PS3 @ CES 2006

Though I doubt any details about PS3 games will emerge during this show, there seem to be interesting game related sessions.

This next-gen game session is kinda funny with Playstation icon circle/triangle/cross/square, no Sony panelist, but with a panelist from Infinium Labs!

Why not game trailers? This isn't a playable event, but this is the first chance at halting post-holiday sales of the 360. CES was once the big winter gaming show. No reason they can't make it a one-off bonanza this year. Show the trailers now, and then the big playable festival in February. I would look to the journalists for an indication. How many gaming rags are gonna be in attendance at CES? That'll be an indicator IMO. If it's a lot of them, then this is definitely going to be a big PS3 showing. If not, then I understand the doubt.

IMO, this is a great time to herd game and mainstream journalists into the big unveiling of the PS3. Since it's clearly the BD flagship platform, they could show off BD movies, and new PS3 trailers to build anticipation. Have a full month of buildup afterwards with continued game announcements and screenshots until February when the PS show can serve as a time to finally announce launch details and let gamers test the games. I guess I'm more hopeful than anything that new info emerges at CES. Only a few more weeks until we know for sure. PEACE.

I think people are tired of the "trailers". I mean, they could show a workin PS3 with a game running on it.....people don't have to be playing it or they can have a dev play/demonstrate a build of their game. Maybe something thats half-way through developement or something.
