ForwardWorks will...provide gaming application optimized for smart devices including smartphones to users in Japan and Asia.

These markets are mobile centric. Either Sony just ignore them, or aim to make money from them and try to stretch the PS brand. Can't really fault them. One step closer to a unified future where Sony's games appear cross-platform!
