So, do we know anything about RV670 yet?

Only for clocks if is different, is ratio 85:62 of GPU TDP
750*85/62=1,028MHz
wow!

huh?

The way I'd see it is if both GPUs are the same, it is requiring 23W to scale 75mhz. To reach 1ghz, it would require ~138W if it scaled linearly (It surely doesn't) and that's just the CPU, not counting the RAM. That's kind of hard to ask of a part that only has the capability to take in 150W on a PCI-e V1 mobo.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if it could do around 900mhz, which surely isn't shabby.

Core or Shader clocks ? ;)

Um, aren't they one and the same?

But this time around it does. If the specs are to be believed(24 TMU and 16 ROP for G92), then core clock is going to mean a hell of a lot.

At AMD, yes.
But CJ was referring to who had the best chance to clock the GPU higher and let's not forget that the main core clock alone doesn't define a Nvidia GPU's performance nowadays.

Touche', although IIRC from looking at G80 shader clocking, that wouldn't decidedly help anything unless it was already a fairly close battle. With a core clock of ~800mhz, it wouldn't be surprising to see the shader clock at ~1800-2ghz, and scaling accordingly, seeing as 8600gts is 1:2 and 8800's slightly more than 50%. I doubt the ratio will be much different, even with a core shrink and slightly different specs than what we've seen before...Although I surely could be wrong.

If someone has posted I worthy news link, I try to share it. :???:

Anyways, I think I know where he got the prank from. Fudo however makes the joke sound so corny. He kind of kills it for me...
