i heard that, but what do you get out of the true 64bit farcry. anything? was it just a gimmick?


when will 64bit buy us something in terms of games? certainly a boon to size constraints...and should be in every other aspect right? complexity, looks, etc. just cause you can carry more info around in a 'word'.

You get nothing at all. The content did nothing to the game really except replace mostly textures with better ones. It is the installer that just prevents you from installing it on 32-bit XP, just unpack the file and copy the files over and you're good to go.

Got it to 3Ghz as well without issue but it was hovering too close to 70C for me to leave it. Even this is too warm for comfort (only the stock cooler). Anyway thats the early quick and dirty result. New cooling, re-overclocking and testing on the menu for the next week.

interesting, first time i saw it was when i got a processor. Previously all the CPUZs i'd looked at identified it as SSE4. Thought the revision was new needing a cpuz update.
