Silent Hill 3 DEMO

I bought the Official Australian Playstation 2 Magazine today which came with the Silent Hill 3 demo and a few others and i'm having trouble playing it.During the cut scenes it plays it for a few seconds and then it just goes back to the main title screen.Has anyone alse had this problem before?In order to play the game I have to skip the cut-scene which sux because I don't know jack about the story :eek: .I hope it's just the demo because i've been thinking of purchasing it and I don't what this happening again.
Any help would be much appreciated.
 
This might help - try moving the stick, or pressing the directional pad while the cut scenes are running. I know that some demos go back to the disc title screen if you don't touch the controls for some time.
 
After reading marconelly's! post I tried what he said and it worked!
Thanks for the help, I can now fully play the demo :)
Also, thanks maskrider fir the URL, it looks like it's not my PS2 after all.
 
Yep, there was the same bug in the demo that came with Official UK PlayStation2 mag.
It's been repaired in the released game though.
 
The SH3 Japanese version will be released on 3rd of July, together with the release of Lost Memories : Art & Music of Silent Hill DVD, however the sound track is on 16th of July. I like the cover of the sound track, ha ha ! I have pre-ordered them all.

BTW, I have gotten all the 3 endings of the game already, ha ha !
 
That Japanese cover is much better than the PAL cover, which I was disappointed of after the great packaging of SH2 pal.

I have only got the 'normal' ending in SH3, also in Sh2 i can't get but only the 'leave' and 'Maria' endings.

btw. Maskrider, do you know where I could download the 'dog' ending for SH2?

I like the style of the PAL cover more than the Japanese cover, let's see if the US cover will give us any surprise (very unlikely).

Sorry, don't know, I have yet to finish Silent Hill 2 as I had been busy during that period I had stopped playing it but hadn't picked it up again (playing some other games instead) when I have the time. :)

BTW, try gamefaqs...Dog ending is quite funny (along with UFO), it has some very hilarious scenes.....James with a Rambo body/ Maria in a Bikini :oops: /James falling down from a balcony!

I don't think I'll bother playing the game again, collecting the things required for the dog ending.
I thought if there was a video clip somewhere, so I could jus dl to see it.
 
I done a search on Kazaa and they've got it.
If you havn't already got it dowload it and search under "video" and type in "Dog Ending".

Oh! I tried Kazaa with search 'Silent Hill' and it only gave me music and images. Must try that 'Dog ending' on 'video', thanks.

Are you sure it gives you the SH2 dog ending :? not some other 'doggy style' ending...
 
I got the normal ending i think on SH3, the ufo ending and there´s a third. I saved in the chapel before making the descision if i would forgive or not, i did. Do i get the third "i dont know what it is" , by dont say anything in instead of forgive.

For UFO ending you have to play from "Extra New Game".

Don't know if Possessed ending need to be "Extra New Game" also, I got normal from "New Game", the other 2 from "Extra New Game".

I have read messages from the people claiming you have to play with "Extra New Game" for the other 2 endings.

UFO ending is a real funny thing. You shouldn't use any weapon (other than Sexy beam or Heather beam) to kill the monsters (or not killing them at all, skip where you can). And UFO ending happens a long way before you reach that Chapel.

Possessed ending is a bit tough, you need to forgive that bitch, use only shooting weapons to kill enough enemies (don't step on them after killing), and take enough damage to gain over 4000 marks with the following formula (from GameFAQs message boards).

Killed by shooting x 10 + damage + (1000 if forgive, 0 if not).
 
Hahaha, just got the Dog Ending, that was some GREAT stuff (Dog was modeled/textured/animated well too :p). Best part had to be seeing James shirtless in the credits though :D
