The only way they aren't "triggers" is that they don't curve when pushed like on Saturn, DC, and Xbox.

We need to get clinton in here . Mabye he can help us understand what the word "triggers" means .

Zurich, naming conventions are utterly unimportant. The triggers on the GC pad and the XBox pad do the same thing.. that's all that matters.

I don't think that the mechanism on the GC controller should be called a trigger, this is my opinion, and beating the issue to death is a waste of bandwidth.

If there was a "gun trigger imitation contest", the XB controller would win.

Mechs are my soft spot, especially if they have cool, innovative designs.
Did you ever collect any of the Virtual ON figures from the toy capsule machines in Shenmue II? Getting to rotate, zoom in, and examine those slick designs was a highlight (along with other, nostalgia-laced delights like getting to examine Space Harrier character model figures and such).

I dont know how many of you have played Brahma Force (PSX), Mech FPS...it was a cool game....just couldnt complete it... :p ....has anyone played/completed it?? IT was developed by Genki....

So then what does that matter in a racing game (one of the genre's you say it helps in over the GC's trigger buttons)? Infact appart from FPS games, where the difference in look and feel might make a tiny difference to some people, what difference does it make to any other game?

In the end they're both just pressure sensitive buttons. That's the real usefulness of these buttons, not the fact that one looks like the trigger of a gun and the other doesn't.
