Am I right?

All those mega drive games..would be a nice exclusive in downloadable form for your online service eh? If Sega went exclusive.

Only they and Nintendo have such valuable catalouges, but of course intendo's is not up for sale.

Sony does have PS1 and PS2 games, those rank second in value IMO. Simply because they'll be more difficult to distribute online because of their size.

MS has the least, with only Xbox1 games.

Also, this skewers emulators, I had always thought, "well these games have no value anyway, they are no longer sold anywhere" when playing SNES or Genesis games on emulators. well not anymore..

Thoughts?

Are you trying to cause a ****** pissing contest or something? Why are you talking about the worth of PS1 games or XBOX games? Nintendo is basically combining the capabilities of emulation and of Xbox Live Arcade, that's it.

Uhh, no?

Just thinking things through. Isn't it said Nintendo's system will allow downloads of old Nintendo games+ some Sega games?

And Xbox live will or already does have some Sega games?

I dont know, I just dont see PS1 and above level games as being prime candidates for this type of thing...yet anyway. Actually PS1 probably would (and will) work as dowloadables but that's OT for this post.

I'm just saying, all Sega games from Genesis era would be a nice exclusive for Xbox Live, Sony "Live", or even Nintendo to have.

I wonder if this will cause the major players to start going after the emu scenes, since the three console mfrs. essentially brought back to life damn near every console/game in existence. I know one of the mantras that the scene and I think in some places even the law held, that because the games were OOP and no longer distributed that they fell into some gray zone of legal. Well, after all of these announcements...who knows.
