Logic will tell you that the RSX wll have both. Why would Sony/Nvidia want to burden the Cell for handling the VS?The picture indicated vertex/pixel.

Prior to RSX's announcement etc., would Ninja Theory have had an insight into what Sony were planning? I can't imagine they would have.
No but its hard to rewrite history no matter how hard you try.
IF there was a fairly 'interesting' history it would be fairly apparent to devs who have close contact with Sony.

But NDAs will mean any info would never become completely public.

Nothing special or important. The Xenos 48 of these pipelines and they are programmable.
Dave Baumann has this explained in his Xenos review:

Multiway means both directions.

People are speculating that the RSX will have 32 of these and they are of NUMA architecture.

Ah I see :)

thanks!

Can someone explain what Multi-way parallel FP shader pipeline mean???

In Layman's

It means more than 1-way, so it could be 2-way, 3-way, etc.

Thanks for correcting my explanation on the term multiway. You 2 are right..
What it means is the the pipeline can be accessed by more than 1 way like what Jaws said more than just a component.
