And if it weren't for the horror on 9-11, I don't see any way that we would have proceeded like we did. In fact, I'm 50/50 on whether or not we would have went in, if Gore was leading this nation.

I've tossed that around myself. I think the Joint Chiefs and his cabinet advisors would've talked Gore into putting ground troops in Afghanistan. I think. It might've just been more bombing and missile launching, which would've been a woefully inadequate response. On the flip side we wouldn't have invaded Iraq, which would've freed up our military manpower for. . . . Meh, who knows what Gore would've done.
