R480 - Can we expect SM3.0?

I'm probably going to wait for the first 16 pipe, 256 bit board to hit the sub $300 street price, and consider upgrading my 9800...

But what will you do if we get a X800LELELELELE or a 6800XLXLXLXLXL which have 16 pipelines, cost less than $300 but only run at about 50MHz?

Seriously, my graphics card update philosophy is typically to wait until I can get about 2X the performance for $300 or less (Preferably $200). So clock speeds do figure into it.

If I was a big gunner, the next bits I would support in my next gen part is floating point buffer blending! The would completly unlock any restrictions we have on HDR and bring a whole new world of graphics to the front.

Oh, and SM3.0 as well.

However, I believe the DXNext might need other things that the IHVs have to work on for their next gen part
