Assuming the image is genuine, it's not the BeOS.
I would think more about QNX too myself, but it could just be a customized linux/BSD.

It's OTACON's desktop in MGS4. It's shown when Otacon is "briefing" Snake on the mission - a parody really, but still... It's a video. It's not PS3 OS.

You can even see the subtitle of Otacon's line "It's a revolutionary high-speed multi-core chip" or whatever. It's a parody, he's telling Snake that Cell will be the key to winning the "console war"...

Can't believe some people still haven't seen that trailer, and i really can't believe this thread exists! It's crazy!

If that were the OS (which it's not! it's a mockup! Please don't beat me up Mr. l-b!) Sony are committing OS suicide. It's a diabolical mess. Looking at the efficient simplicity of the X-bar system in Sony CE products and PSP, I hope and expect the OS will deliver a nicer frontend then the tried and overcomplicated WIMP system. Though I like Windows interfaces, a lot of plebs can't work it effectively. They need something new and simpler. I hope for maybe an EyeToy based interface where you grab and move objects to use them, with sensible file structures that don't scatter millions of different resources throughout your HDD but keep everything together in intelligent groupings.

Another GEM derivative would be one of the worst decisions Sony could make IMO

'Course they are. Not announced or even mentioned, but ZOE is Kojima's little baby. We'll be hearing something sooner or later. And i can't freaking wait!
