Still cool desing and very interesting artwork. I seem to recall simialr design in a game but cant remember name. Maybe it was Battlezone 2 or other. Damn narrow design though with view being occluded by scenery or otherwise fog right up your face with very low draw distance but still nice. Alien jungle for sure.

lol yea...but ya know sometimes you have to see that 'low draw distance, small area etc etc' is necessary for the sake of art/level design as well. :LOL:

For all the talk about scale I fellt that should be commented. Now how about we focus on the game and not persons like happens so much when related to anything not positive regarding PS3 games? It barely happens in other platform threads despite a lot of 'negative' comments. Keep it mature guys, digital games not fight for life, nobody will die in reality. ;)
 
Yeah, separate cutscenes for 2D/3D explains why game is so big (41.5GB).

This video actually looks cool. I would have never expected that from Killzone, a game that I always considered rather limited in regards to its colour and texture budget.

Had I to choose an exclusive, I still prefer UC2 camera, graphics and art in general but, in my view, Guerrilla has improved the tech quite a lot.

Ps. Those light beams from a screen are leaving moving shadow on the building on the right.

It's muted, not like the screenshot someone else posted which I commented about earlier. AFAIK cant see this level being the same as the pic previously posted, no? :)


The smoke sure looks great for the backdrop though it's in motion it will need to show if it is really good. Besides that I find that shot to look quite awfull. Now ofcourse it's a static shot but the godray beam look awfully fake being split into rays by what seems nothing and not lined up to sun so probably handplaced but they do look out of place in that pic.
Textures and whole image looks washed out like moire present and intensity range greatly clamped. Like a LED TV dying. The lit ground also looks strange having the flat surface being "pearl white" yet rocks and debris ontop of it is not lit at all like if light is clipping or only affecting flat ground. Weapon though looks damn good except hands but weapon in itself is as good as in KZ2 and that was ace. But that image all in all, quite average.

Sorry if I hurt someones feelings but I did explain my point.

Stop at 0:10. That same smoke in the background, that same red glowing thing sticking out of the ground and that same particles in the air. Definitely that same lvl, just different area.

Thanks for the link (I though it was the same as previous as I copy and pasted it and it didn't stick into VM XD). The other video newer got bigger than ~320x200 for me in HD without serious pixelation of whole player in my VM. This video certainly doesn't look muted. mayeb a bit not nothing alike the other jungle video or pic.

Anyway cant see the smoke motion but that part certainly looks a lot more grand than the pic. Not sure if those are godray sahdows though as they move like if shadow had strange slope bias as the near ground also gets some "triangle" shaped shadow dancing on floor to move back in strange direction but same view spot. Godrays seems to be behind wall area but the smoke lingering infront of godays gives sensation they move or perhaps they do move. Part is so short. Guide me to other part/vids.
 
I can see now why they haven't shown Jungle level,its not really cream of the crop.Looks like something from Gears 2 but i can't figure what...
Otherwise game looks spectacular,only this particular level looks kinda meh IMO.

Sadly I have to agree. Looks more like a narrow path with a couple of plants on both sides, just not what I'd call a jungle.
That Avatar game might have been rather mediocre, but damn did it have a great looking jungle setting (especially in 3d).
 
I found the game really good & impressive... but I don't understood why use again & again so much criticism in this engine from someone... I mean, I think it's just matter of personal taste at the end, why try to convince who thinks the opposite to have more plausible reason in own opinion? :???:
