Yeah, I'd say the cut scenes are rendered in-engine and stored as MP4 etc. I hope the size does stop piracy, but some GeoToss wannabe will probably patch it to skip the cut scenes!

Yes it is, the best way to see it, is to observe water when player is moving backward [bottom left corner].
Has there been any confirmation if the retro maps will be available on PSN or not?
I would like to see old maps in the new non-QAA + more FX engine, but I don't care about the other bonus stuff of the CE. I don't understand why they want people to be playing different maps on launch day, there should be parity on launch day , at least !
Add to that , people on my local forum are telling me that I am crazy cos I am not ready to pay extra for it. Why should I ??? People should have the same maps on Launch day, DLC is for re-invigorating the community when they get bored after a while, not to divide gameplay on the very first day!

Oh my oh my, the graphics keep amaze me ceaselessly. Also OPM give killzone 3 9/10 as well.
The lighting is quite flat, low res effects and textures everywhere, very average technically.
But especially the lighting is where it is falling behind.
Killzone 2 was amazing for it's day, but Killzone 3 is just, yawn.
