Despite what Sony would have us believe, 3D doesn't come for free - rendering twice as many polygons is bound to take a bit of a performance hit. We chatted about this issue with Killzone 3's producer - watch him try to squirm out of the question about what they've had to sacrifice to deliver 3D. At least he was honest when it came to ghosting...

Exactly what I want :) ! And some new gameplay mechanics too. What they have announced uptill now seems pretty much KZ2. I dunno, they wowed me so much with KZ2, that I can't help but expect somehing similar with KZ 3 ! C'mon Guerilla, bring out ur magic wand, the game is looking too much like KZ 2 !
 
Nice looking pictures, I'm pretty sure those are from MP judging from the different classes. Can't wait to see the PAX footage and high res shots of those.
 
I have a feeling the single player of that map will look down right epic considering the lumbering mech/spider/walker/bot thing. That actually reminds me of those Goliath from Resistance 2 which is awesome. Like people said here, cant wait to engulf myself in the heavy smoke and gritty explosions:).
 
Pretty good! You can see the player getting more and more adrenaline-twitchy the longer it goes :D

I like the generous spacing of the S&D targets on this map. S&D spacing makes everything better.

Looking freakin tastic ! My hopes of a massive SP are back on fire :D !

EDIT: The "Orange" map looks fantastic too. Looks like GG is on right track, at least with MP. What is the "Static Electricity" like thing going on there after the player has planted the explosives. it keeps going on for a long time. Mechs looking great too.Hope we see some exciting SP footage too, sometime, and hope that Jeep shown in KZ2 gets some gameplay value in SP, as it seems missing from MP.
Hope we get direct feed soon ! Off screen can look too good. Also, it seems that while they have reduced player count to 24, they seem to have increased the map size to Huge !

That is one sweet looking game. It's overtaken Reach on my most wanted list!! Mind you I'm also hungry for some more Resistance...
 
I'm really not digging the new sound for the ISA rifle.

The clip shows everything including air bots, sentry guns, new melee kills, special skills, modes, and new ISA skins.

The new melee moves look more fun in MP. In SP, it depends on how stupid/smart the AI is. Would :love: to see a more vicious Helghast combat system + AI overall.

The bald ISA skin fits in Helghast world better. I don't remember seeing it in KZ2.

Not so sure about special abilities like "Increased Health". It reminds me of the Assault Class, which topples the balance in KZ2. I always thought that Salamun Market + no advanced classes (My first KZ2 battle) is perfect.

Later on, I like playing in KZ2 MP because I get this feeling of defiance. The heavy machine guns and rocket launchers were tearing everything up. It's like I am not supposed to venture out because of the harsh environment and unbalanced enemies. Yet, there I was standing alone at the top of the mast in Beachhead firing maniacally at any moving hazzy blue lights, trying not to expose my body too much. The rain would blur my iron sight so much that sometimes I wasn't even sure what I was shooting at. If it gets too confusing, I'd slip down and play as Saboteur to gun unsuspecting enemies down. This is very much part of KZ2's appeal for me.

But I think in KZ3, they also need to give us some more "peaceful" levels and balanced weaponry so that we can play it like a fair-n-square shooter. That would give the MP more depth than KZ2.

EDIT:
The two MP videos look rather encouraging so far. If they tune the "Increased Health" and other unbalanced perks away, or at least give us an option to set up a balanced level, it'd be great. The MP level browser needs to be updated to show these critical info upfront though. So we know what we are getting into.

Ditto, campaign is actually my first priority here as I love the epic choreography, cutscenes and uncompromised graphics sides of it. Imagine fighting against that huge mech boss with a fleet of Intruders and bunch of Walkers going at it all at once! GG did mention vehicles will be more involved this time around.
