Yeah, I saw Billy_Idol's link a minute ago. The full demo level does look like KZ2 afterall. They haven't forgotten the lighting even while indoor.

Thanks man !

EDIT: The player plunged into the water twice. :)

Really look forward to the MP game.

I visited the water one time myself :D

Wait a minute... can you die in the intruder segment at all ? I didn't see any real threat. The enemies were all shooting at someone else. The intruder was on rail right ?

The intruder was on rail, and I don't think that you can die...but I am not sure, as I (of course) tried to kill as much Highs as possible (and cause as much destruction as possible)!

Oh, I stated it wrong: KZ3 was crisp as hell! But it had a few aliasing issues here and there (could it be that MLAA has some problems with nearly horizontal edges, which are slowly moving when you move your stick?) and I remember that KZ2 only had minimal aliasing issues - that was what I meant with cleaner, sorry.
MLAA cannot work on completely vertical or horizontal edges as it cannot count the stairstepping.
Also KZ2 did supersample some of it's lighting so that affects the overall quality as well.
KZ3 should get a nice performance boost from dropping 2xMSAA, so there might be some spectacular moments in the game.

This was by far the best demo with respect to content! You could choose 3 different demo levels, all of them showing different things!

Hey thanks for the impressions! Happy that it sounds like the enemies aren't bullet sponges anymore.

How did the controls feel?? I was one of the few who really didn't have an issue with the controls in KZ2 and when I read that they are changing them to be more like CoD I wasn't really happy.

:???: Huh?!?

Enemies weren't bullet sponges in KZ2... certainly not in the game i played (usually normal difficulty however)... although the only exception was probably when using the SMG as that weapon was pretty weak...

I also don't think the controls have been made more like COD, rather made a little bit more responsive (=/= COD-a-like). I think it's a positive thing, and if it gets more people playing the game and appreciating how AWESOME KZ MP is then i'm all for it :D

I'm also concerned about the balancing of the Mechs in MP though too... although i flippin love mechs in general so BRING ON THE MECHS!!!!!! (... anything that can satisfy my mecha cravings until Kojima gets up off his backside and makes me a ZOE3 :D)

Yap, IMHO KZ2 enemies are not tanks, except for the mini-bosses and above ("The Heavy", the electric gun guy, and Radec). It's expected for bosses.

The MP flying bot was too thick-skinned. Guerilla Games re-tuned it.

Most of the time its simply due to the fact that people use regular fire instead of burst fire to hit enemies....this is why they feel that the enemies are bullet sponges cause over 50% of the bullets miss the target if you fire continuously. So maybe they reduced the bullet spread in KZ3 ?

I wouldn't mind if they made they enemies a bit weaker. The flamethrower guys in KZ2 did have me wondering why they were still standing. They are nowhere near tanks, but it was enough to notice and break the immersion a bit.

Maybe the trick is simply to give impression that a certain type of enemy can take more damage because they are wearing more armour. Instead of similar looking enemies being able to take more damage because the game needs a difficulty curve.

Eh... I can't remember flamethrower guys anymore. >_< Where do they show up ? May be it's time to replay the game.

To be quite honest with you, I didn't think they were bullet sponges either. However I've heard others complain that they were, I always went for the head shot so it wasn't an issue for me regardless. I know in KZ1 they were bullet sponges, that's for sure. I only made that comment in reference to this part of Billy's impressions:

I played the demo a lot, and I have the feeling that the foes did not take so much hits anymore, I think I only needed two fire birsts until they went down

As for the controls, I liked the feeling of weight behind the movement and gunplay. People have also complained that the aiming in GRAW was slow, but again I liked the delayed weighty feel. I'm just not a fan of CoD and any mention of any shooter trying to copy that game leaves a bad taste in my mouth. :p

The only place I know for sure is during the fight with Radec.

Of course ! I usually melee'd the one on the balcony. That's why I don't remember shooting one.

There should be some more flamethrowers around. I can remember the fire, but I can't recall the location.

In KZ2, I typically use firebursts!
I did the same in KZ3!

But I still had the feeling that the Helghast soldiers went down faster...this could be related to several things:

-I typically aimed to the chest or head (whatever I hit). So either it causes more damage when you hit them in this zone, the head hit box was enlarged or I just better aimed as usual (maybe due to more responsive controls?)

-Furthermore, it could well be that the accuracy of the rifle was increased (maybe dereased the spread), although I typically did not shoot from the hips, but often used the iron sight view.

-Maybe, the game demo was set to easy?! This could very well be an explanation as well...although it did not feel to me that it was set to easy, because you could die fast if you did not care enough.

-Or, it was just my impression and it is simple not true at the end.

In KZ2, the flamethrower guys take a lot of hits, and especially the rocket launcher guys (this even got translated into the Assault MP class, which has a lot more health).
During the demo, I encountered 2 Rocketlauncher guys, and they did take indeed a lot of hits!

MAG is heading that way too (Using character points to acquire stuff).

I really need to replay KZ2. I don't remember the rocket launchers and flamethrowers all that well. Only remember the train, mecha, mini-bosses, and Radec.
