I've made it to The Warren (island 2) having cleaned out The Neon (island 1), although random baddies continue to spawn there in small numbers. I'm liking the increase in difficulty in The Warren; the Dustmen are considerably tougher than the Reapers and even the buildings - if the prison is anything to go by - represent a more interesting navigation challenge. The story, particularly that told through the dead drops and TV, is developing nicely.
The only thing that is bugging me and it's a real minor thing, is that the citizens of Empire City are amazingly dumb. When an onslaught of baddies appears throwing bombs and firing rifles and rockets, the majority of citizens will run toward the baddies like it's some kind of street theatre to be observed, or to put it another way: like moths to zapper. Sometimes, I want to serve up some carnage on the baddies asses, I want to throw half dozen cars at them and lighting grenade the whole street back to the stone age but you just can't because the moths all rush in only to be wiped out.
I know the good side side is all about measured control, restraint and precision, but sometimes it's just nice to go nuts. Roll on play through 2

I came to the second island today as well. Yeah it`s tougher, the buildings are more difficult to climb and there are far less spots to refill energy as well (probably there will be more when you power up the whole island again).
I also play the good side and causing collateral damage had no (or not much) negative effect on my reputation. It`s worth it for more XP as well.
And yeah the prison is awesome, it took me a while to get to the top and find the stuff there. There`s also a Generator that does nothing when you power it up, so I guess there will be a mission later on there as well.
