What I'd really like to know is, will the shiny black version be available at launch?

true, i hope they offer the black one. looks pretty slick. (i wonder if people will complain about fingerprints haha)

next up, the white version, even though it doesnt match with many people's home entertainment setups; the shiny white, ala white psp, does look sexy.

the silver, well...its ok, but doesnt tickle my fancy.

There are no other dates outside of that from PR.

And your realistic dates are a tad pesimistic and rather unrealistic... You're nuts to think that Sony will skip holiday 2006 in the US.

There are no PR dates. There are no dates at all beyond a world wide spring 06 release. There have been nothing but more and more comments to this affect from the higher ups at Sony so I've no idea where you pulled those dates from.

Wait...no PS3 next christmas in the US? Uhm...yeah...ok...no...not really.

What has brought you to the conclusion that USA will be getting a PS3 release date of Febuary 2007? If its lack of information and media exposure then theres a new Harrison interview that can explain that. For any other reason, I would like to hear it

lol thats kinda funny. Do people forget that for the ps2, the Europe/PAL launch was only a month after the NA launch. The big gap was the Japan launch |....the waiting period...|and then the two NA/Europe launches.

I honestly think that Sony will launch all three regions close to each other this time around, maybe 1-2 months apart. and 2007 for any region is out of the question. But we will see, i dont like to speculate to much on this.

The Gamestation down in Christchurch, i think it's the only Gamestation in NZ too. Your best bet would be to just ring around a few stores up there (iirc you live in Auckland?).
