1920 isn't close enough to 2k for you? You're being ridiculous.Except it's not tied to the resolution is it. If the resolution was 2,000 or 2048 I'd agree with you
Just stop. And yet you refer to it as 1080p

He wouldn't, Starfield supports 21:9 just fine. Davros has wider than 21:9 and thus plays with black bars on either side. He shouldn't have to either as rendering and UI should be designed to adapt, but it's rarely the case.Anyway, point is @davis.anthony shouldn't have to play Starfield in a forced 16:9 aspect.
Why are they called 4k when 1k in common usage = 1,000 and in the computer world 1k = 1024 ?

Semi true though.Because 4k wasn't designed for the PC world, it's a cinema/film thing.
And in that world 1k = 1,000
Yes, 1920x1080 was called HD not 2k, 2HD would have been better (/Davros suddenly realises he is a marketing genius)
ps: Elon if you read this call me. Seriously "X" what were you thinking.
And to totally nitpick 1920 x 1080 is called Full HD as 1280 x 720 was simply called HD. They replaced VGA (NTSC) which is 640 x 480 and PAL which is 768 x 576.
The new asus oleds will support black frame insertion. So the 480Hz oled will be able to do 240fps with BFI. Would probably look insanely clear. Sounds like it only works with SDR, which makes sense.

Asus are adding BFI to their third gen OLED gaming monitors in 2024 via their ELMB function. Details and operation providedtftcentral.co.uk
Awesome new but only works at 120hz according to the article.
Hopefully it forces other manufacturers to start looking at it too.
Apparently they're hoping to get it to work at 240 or higher before launch, but right now it works at 120 so that's what's confirmed, and I wouldn't expect more.
The 27" 480Hz also has a glossy screen instead of matte like the larger models.
