nVidia becoming so desperate for sales that it reverts to...

I jokingly asked Brian Burke if NVIDIA paid the girl to remove her top (didn't know she was a porn star at the time) and he laughed and said, "no no, we wouldn't do that."

No, the other 20 girls at the party (the ones who danced on stage) were paid to be there though!

Bummer I didn't get to meet you at the party. Mike later told me he saw you, but I lost Mike when he took a sip of his drink, then went to the bathroom and never came out.

Wierd. I asked Brain Burke if either of you two were there as I wanted to say Hi, but he told me you weren't. :?

And the only other vertebrate that has sex face to face is the bonobo chimp. That's two wierdo's from the animal kingdom, who's next? - disregarding humans ;)

Well it was a bit of a nutty E3. I missed meeting with John Malley, but I hear you two took a taxi together. Was it from that XFX party?

Yeah, that was another slightly bizarre occurance. The party was in such a shitty area Taxi's wouldn't come by, despite some guy ordering them or us. Eventually it got to the point that 4 of us just got in the first Taxi that came despite going to 3 different locations. Anyway, we ended up chatting and it turns out that one of em was John - kinda made up for missing him at E3! :)

So....4 people...3 destinations....did you and John go to the same destination?

Did you ask around the beginning? I was 45 mins late to the party.

You know, I was wondering who all those girls were, figured they were girlfriends of the people invited there. Guess not. lol

hey Matt, missed meeting you too. Was a funny story me bumping into Dave btw. I walked up to ATI PR and asked her if she saw someone else and Dave was like "Oh so you're Ben" LOL

Yea, I know, been meaning to get with you, but you have a bad habit of IM'ing me when I'm not at the computer. :p

Odd, when I went out (err staggered out, really), I saw plenty of taxis. There was something going on down the block though, so I think whatever was going on down there, they were hogging the taxis.

I happened upon Sean from HardOCP at Miyagi's, and Rayn Shrodt from AMDMB, and I think Derek Perez came by the table too, although that night was a bit blurry. When I ordered a long island ice tea, should've asked for the kiddie glass. Pretty neat to run across people you read about or talked to at some time or another.

Matt you went to that XFX party on Thursday too? LOL Maybe I should have looked for you as I saw your picture on 3DGPU.

To the rest of you guys & girls: NA NA NA NA NA, you are all going to burn in hell and I'm not.

Well, the third commandment of my ancient faith states that any who shell criticize the presence of the porn star at E3 party will burn in hell. To make matters worse (for you), 19th commandment specifically states that, and I quote: "Thay guy nameth K.I.L.E.R on B3D forumth shelt burneth in flame infernal for all eternity."

So I guess, NA-NA--NA-NA--NA, you are going to burn in hell and I am not.

No, I didn't go to that party, I had a dinner scheduled that night.

Now if they had someone dressed up like Dawn, and ran a contest seeing who could remove her clothing using only their computer, it would have been good marketing :)

Now if they had someone dressed up like Dawn, and ran a contest seeing who could remove her clothing using only their teeth.......

Looks like they did have someone dressed up as Dawn there: (sorry folks, she's mostly clothed, mostly...)

And, you certainly have a right to your values, but that doesn't mean you need to foster them on others... again, not talking videocards here, please understand that.
Of course, but i don't ask the others to have the same, whereas saying something about what should be done by people and making the law to make people compliant with it are different things.

"Let people do what they want with their lives till it doesn't trespass the lives of others" could be a simplified view of what i think.

On that topic there is a complete list of booth babe photos from E3 here. So what makes nvidia stand out from the crowd?

Well, actually, a couple things stood out...

You've clearly never seen a documentary on Bonobo chimps... !!!!!!
They bring a whole new meaning to "meeting and greeting"!

I also wouldn't cite Dolphins as a good example.... I saw a documentary where a bunch of males ganged up on a lone female.... it was not nice.

This is a pattern at US conferences. I once failed to get a taxi from the Hyatt Regency in San Jose for no less than 2 hours at the end of one GDC party.

That time I ended up getting a lift home from someone I'd met at the party who was more than half-full, and I'm not meaning the tank of his quad-cab Dodge Ram. Stupid, I know. But I didn't feel like walking two miles through what probably was a dodgy area back to my hotel...

Frankly, given the state of taxis out there it might have been safer. I was in one once where the guy was operating the brake lights by hand.

I will agree with Tag and the others that if prostitution were to be made legal and those who engaged in such careers were protected by law then it would definitely go a long way to reducing the number of abused women. Also, Russ, I find it amazing that you think that you have no influence over other people. You think that strippers and prostitutes just happily get into lives of substance and physical abuse completely on their own? The first step is their own choice, after that they can become influenced very stongly by other people. If everyone made their own descisions then we would bever get anything done as a society because it would be impossible to get people to work together, and if everyone was mindless rats in a maze then we would have nothing to work together on.

The reason that prostitution would be wrong, if not for the drugs and other abuse, would be because it can by very unhealthy. Womens reproductive organs are a lot more sensative to damage than mens are. After the first few pregnancy's a prostitute would likely become so damaged by the frequent (and often rough) intercourse that she will have no chance of concieving and possibly even go through premature menopause. And just because she's a prostitute doesn't mean that she will never want to leave the buisiness and start a family. Not to mention STD's...

And Tagrineth, be careful what you say. You might end up comming across as a slut, although I'm fairly sure you aren't one.
